Devices specify the general information associated with each device. The information includes functionality, type, speed, cost, and comparisons. The flexibility is one major concern regarding devices. Flexibility means how well a device can be upgraded according to the situation and requirements such as in selection of workstation flexibility is the first thing to be considered. Certain devices are associated with only the GUI (graphic user interface) such as pointing devices and touch screens. In other devices there are data acquisition systems, servers, and KVM switches.
